Analytical Studies of Films and Books

In the middle syndicate we watched the movie Matilda from the story written by Roald Dahl then compared Crunchem Hall with our own school. In the senior syndicate we read The Three Billy Goats Gruff, then watched the short film The Toll and compared the two.

Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus

What a fantastic story this is written and illustrated by Mo Willems. Rm 16, one of our New Entrant rooms, had great fun making up their own stories on this app and then drawing their own pigeons. Check them out!

E-Learning in the Library

This term with the seniors and middles we are focusing on individual libary contracts. The students can choose from a range of literacy activities and different presentation models. Several of these include the use of the ipads, laptops and computers. As you can see the children have been very engaged in the research and presentation for these tasks. Keep an eye out for finished products on the blog.

This week has been Book Week at Richmond Primary School. Ms. Simpson has had lots of fun dressing up every day for the "Guess Who Ms. Simpson Is" competition. You can also see a selection of photo's from our book parade up Queen Street and through the mall.
